Ascentis® Express is a high-speed, UHPLC column based on the Fused-Core® particle design. The Fused-Core® particle provides a thin porous shell of high-purity silica surrounding a solid silica core. This particle design exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths in the porous shell. Ascentis® Express columns exceed the benefits of sub2, 3 and 5 µm particles. Ascentis® Express 2.7 µm delivers more resolving power per unit pressure than even sub-2 µm particles on any HPLC system (including UHPLC).

There are three sizes of Ascentis® Express columns:

  • 2.0 µm particles: Best Fused-Core® UHPLC column. An optimized solution for high-throughput small molecule analysis.
  • 2.7 µm particles: Fast HPLC on any system. A practical solution that delivers UHPLC performance from any HPLC.
  • 5.0 µm particles: The lab work-horse column. True plug and play solution for improving existing 3 or 5 μm fully porous particle HPLC columns.

A wide range of column chemistries enable the superior separation of several compound classes, meeting the demands in many different application fields.

Relevant applications:

  • UHPLC Analysis of Conjugated Estrogens
  • LC-MS/MS Analysis of Epinephrine, Metanephrine and Metabolites
  • HPLC Analysis of B-vitamins using UV detection
  • HPLC Analysis of 2-AMP and Piroxicam
  • HPLC Analysis of Carotene Compounds
