Although the acoustic dispenser field is quite small, the ATS-100 provides superior value for money. It does take a skilled scientist to get full functionality, unlike the Echo which is more in tune with all levels of user, but the end result is the same for significantly less cost.

Expand your capabilities with the ATS Acoustic Transfer System from EDC Biosystems. Now, you can reliably dispense ultra-low liquid volumes for your screens, assays, and even arrays while reducing waste, time and costs.

The ATS transfers chemical and biological liquid-based materials with precision and control unlike any other liquid handling device on the market.

  • Dispense any liquid with a viscosity of 20 cP or less including aqueous buffers, DMSO, glycerol solutions, organic solvents, or even cell and protein suspensions.
  • Transfer volumes from 1nL - 2.0µL+. (Larger volumes increase transfer times.)
  • Fully user-tunable. Extremely flexible and application friendly.
  • Accuracy and precision of <10% CV. True Non-contact TechnologyTM performance is unaffected by the remaining source volumes or empty neighboring wells.
  • Real-time detection of acoustic transfer quality and remaining liquid volumes in source wells.
  • Continuously drain source wells from top to bottom without interruption.
  • Lowest true dead/starting-volumes (i.e., <0.5µL 3456; <1µL 1536; <2µL 384) in the industry.
  • Use conventional off-the-shelf 96, 384, 1536, or 3456 wellplates (subject to qualification) as a SOURCE. Dispense into or onto practically any destination.
  • No re-washable pins or disposable tips. Never directly contact the fluid of interest in any way.
  • No print heads with fixed-spacing or volume-specific tip sizes to deal with.
  • Create non-contact arrays; even on top of existing ones.
  • Benchtop or Automation-Model choices.

Perform wellplate reformatting, compound library screening, assay development, cell-based assays, hit-picking (cherry-picking), and serial dilutions / dose responses (IC-50s). Alternatively, the ATS can be used to place liquid droplets onto discrete locations to perform protein crystallography assays, create a MALDI matrix, or produce arrays; even difficult ones such as proteins, cell lysates, tissues, and even live cells.

Lastly, if an automated system is your preference, the ATS is also available for integration on a variety of robotic platforms commonly used in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries to create a complete Screening, Cell-Based Assay, or other customized Laboratory Research System. We invite you to explore further and contact an EDC Biosystems representative for more information on how you can obtain an ATS acoustic transfer system for your laboratory.
