Analysis of Fluorescent Dyes and Nanomaterials
This device was used nearly daily over a matter of five years. Only had one single issue with it, which was related to a power outage. Otherwise, just standard yearly maintenance as part of a PM Contract was all that was done. We had it pre-calibrated for linearity and it never drifted significantly. Really was impressed with how well this instrument worked. We collected fluorescent spectrum from as low as 350nm up to materials which emitted at 850nm. It was able to reliably measure them all.

Accessories include temperature control and solid sample handling, automatic polarizers and a microplate reader for high sample throughput.
The Agilent Cary Eclipse is ideal for fluorescent measurements in life sciences and biotechnology with picoMolar sensitivity and offers fluorescence spectroscopy suitability for photosensitive samples. Fast data collection enables kinetics measurements at 80 data points per second, while fiber optics allow for remote sample measurements.
Features:
- Fluorescence spectroscopy with multiple data collection modes including fluorescence, phosphorescence, chemiluminescence, bioluminescence, and time resolved phosphorescence can be used without changing a single hardware component
- The Cary Eclipse spectrophotometer is so robust and reliable that every new instrument comes with a 10-year lamp life guarantee, reducing ongoing expenses to virtually zero for lowest cost of ownership.
- Modular, application-specific software, Cary WinFLR is easy-to-use for novice and expert users alike. Easily switch between measurement modes without touching the hardware, and quickly get reliable, accurate results.
- The unique design of the Cary Eclipse provides room light immunity allowing the instrument to operate with the front and top panels removed for easy access to samples and fast installation of large accessories, for expanded analytical capabilities.
- Optimized design coupled with high-sensitivity optics and detectors ensure that the Cary Eclipse spectrophotometer gives you the performance and sensitivity that you need right across the fluorescence spectrum.
- The Cary Eclipse incorporates the a xenon flash lamp and captures a data point every 12.5 ms and scans at 24,000 nm/min without peak shiftsproviding the robustness and reliability needed for high throughput laboratories and fast kinetics applications.
- Accessories are available for every sample type - liquid, solid, and powders. Polarizers and temperature control are also available.
- The Cary Eclipse spectrophotometer only illuminates the sample when data is actually being acquired, therefore protecting your valuable samples from photodegradation and preserving their integrity so you can measure them repeatedly and get the same, reliable results.
- The guaranteed long lifetime of the lamp in the Cary Eclipse eliminates lamp replacements, a hugely time-consuming and potentially hazardous operation.
