SLBL inhibitor analysis
I like the EZ Reader, and that is good because Charm no longer makes or services the Rosa Reader. The EZ reader is intuitive, comes with 3 ways to save/download data, runs several kinds of strips including the SLBL strips we have been using for years; but it also performs several tests (tetracycline, etc.). The one large drawback is that it has only one dock for strips, so unless you have a strip incubator you are stuck doing one test at a time. I believe Charm makes a larger version with more testing positions, but I am not certain. Using our old 4 slot incubator and using the EZ for read only has been very nice, and no more endless rolls of printouts since we can plug it right into our computer and the software will produce an Excel spreadsheet of results. Overall, I enjoy using it, but it would be nice to incubate and read at the same time without waiting endlessly for one result.

The Charm EZ system was the dairy industry’s first combined incubator and reader making quick work of antibiotic and aflatoxin M1 testing in milk. Simply insert a ROSA (Rapid One Step Assay) lateral flow strip and add milk. The Charm EZ system automatically identifies the test, incubation time, and temperature. Close the door and results are ready in minutes.
The Charm EZ system is configured for US customers with tests calibrated to US Tolerance Levels, and for international customers to detect at EU, CODEX, and Customs Union MRLs. It runs a wide variety of ROSA tests for beta-lactams, beta-lactams and flunixin, beta-lactams and tetracycline, chloramphenicol, quinolones, aminoglycosides, macrolides, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, and aflatoxin M1.
