FPLC with built-in automated multi-step purification
The Contichrom Discovery is a FPLC for purifying proteins and antibodies. The specialty of this FPLC is its built-in automation for multi-step purifications. For example, antibodies can be subjected to a Protein A capture, a cation exchange polishing, and finally a desalting step for buffer exchange. The software contains protocols for the most common purification challenges (conventional single-step and multi-step). A wizard tells you exactly what you have to do to set the system up ("expert users" can jump over this step). Afterwards, all steps are carried out by the FPLC without requiring user intervention. The next step is simply to take the ready-to-use protein out of the built-in fraction collector. It's truly the most convenient way to purify proteins and antibodies.
