If you're tired of multiplying those 1L-2L flask prior to inoculate a large scale fermentor and not able to afford wavebag or don't want to put so much effort in a N-1 fermentor, then the 5 L flasks from Corning are your ally. Fully scalable flask with up to 2L working volume without any impact on growth rate, pH or carbon source consumption (general metabolism). Can be set in any incubator.
