In GLP-regulated environments, data generated by Comet Assay IV is often saved to an Oracle database in order to ensure the level of security required. The Data Extractor simplifies the process of creating reports and performing further analyses on this data by removing the need to setup and configure unfamiliar third party tools.

The Data Extractor allows authorised users and quality assurance auditors to browse, filter and group raw data, audit trails and scored cell images held within Oracle. Each measurement can be viewed together with the corresponding image stored in order to check its validity. The images can be saved to disk for review or loaded from within Comet Assay IV so they can be rescored and the results compared.

The Data Extractor allows authorised users to save results to Microsoft Excel while maintaining the security of the original data within Oracle. Data can also be saved to Excel in a format which is compatible with any existing macros, such as the Spreadsheet Generator macro supplied with the system, for further statistical analysis.
