Analyzing of BOD/CBOD
Using Disposable BOD/CBOD bottles has almost eliminated any QC failures we have been having and has also greatly cut back on our cost associated with this analysis. We initially thought it was going to be a huge increase in cost but since doing a cost analysis we have found this untrue. The savings was mostly found in the time it takes to wash clean and sterilize the BOD/CBOD bottles. Labour is a huge cost with this and by using the disposables this has gone away. The biggest savings for us here is safety. No longer having to worry about an analyst cutting them selves on a semi-usable BOD bottle is where the most impact has come from.
