I have been using ELN (Electronic Lab notebook) for nearly 4 years. I am currently one of the super users and a trainee on the system. This was a big step for me moving from traditional paper system to a more formal electronic system. It made me write up an experiment in a much more organised way. Also searching for a particular experiment is simpler than before. The only negative side of using ELN is occasionally it is slow to respond. However, the many advantages of using ELN overcome any negative issue with the system
