FlowCam® LO integrates flow imaging microscopy (FIM) and light obscuration (LO) into a single, innovative solution for particle characterization. While meeting compendial light obscuration requirements outlined in USP <787> and <788>, FlowCam LO also offers an orthogonal method to enhance quality control of subvisible particulate matter with detailed image-based analysis.

As highlighted in USP <1788>, flow imaging microscopy provides complementary morphological data and addresses challenges like undercounting and undersizing translucent particles such as proteins and other biologics. With FlowCam LO, you can acquire both light obscuration data to meet regulatory guidelines and high-quality particle images—all in one instrument and a single sample run.
