I prefer nitrile gloves to latex for several reasons: I find them more comfortable, there isn't an allergy issue, and when they fail they do so obviously and catastrophically - I need to know when my gloves have been compromised and latex gloves can cover up a hole, whereas nitrile ones tear. KC Forest Green nitrile gloves are my favorite nitrile gloves. They fit well (I have small hands and there is no unnecessary room in the fingers), they have textured pads on the fingers so I can grip things easily, and they are thin enough that I can move my hands around comfortably and dexterously - they are especially good for applications where double gloving is required such as working with DMSO because they are so thin that wearing two layers doesn't restrict my motion at all. They come 200 gloves per box which makes them very affordable.
