Free Rat / Mouse IGF-I ELISA
The Rat and Mouse Free IGF-I ELISA kit uses species specific calibrators and has been optimized to work with small sample sizes
The Ansh Labs' Free Rat/Mouse IGF-I ELISA kit is a quantitative one-step sandwich assay. There has been interest in the measurement of "unbound" IGF-I although the existence of a true unbound IGF (biologically active fraction) is controversial, pharmacokinetic studies indicate that a small % of plasma IGF-I is not associated with IGF-binding proteins. Unbound IGF-I, which has also been observed in saliva, may exert a tonic hypoglycemic effect that is inhibited by exogenous IGFBP-1 administration.
- The calibrators are traceable to World Health Organization IGF-I preparation NIBSC code 02/245, version 6.0.
- Small sample size of 10 uL.
- Wide dynamic range of 0.251 – 10.036 ng/mL.
- Sensitive to 0.1108 ng/mL.
- Single 1 hr incubation at room temperature.
