Gator®Prime

After comparing between BLI providers we decided on Gator due to their excellent data quality and in particular a very competitive price. The software is easy to use and train new users and the consumables are of excellent quality. Integrating the platform into our facility we have allowed users to quickly screen potential candidates thereby saving them considerable time. We have also enabled immunologists to develop next-gen assays that may replace ELISAs. We have also implemented the usage of BLI technology for the rapid QC on the production side of antibody and reagents for quick quantitation.

The Gator Prime instrument is very easy to operate, and much easier than the traditional SPR. The sample prep time and running time for each assay were reduced by more than half. The system is also compatible with crude samples, which saved a lot of time and effort. Data quality is also reliable and repeatable. Consumables are also cheaper and the probes can be regenerated multiple times. Customer service is fantastic. They have a great supporting team and are always willing to help their customers.

My research group together with the core facility for protein purification and characterization @ the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, purchased the Gator system a few months ago. The system is a core facility instrument used to characterize and determine protein-protein and protein-DNA interaction by both academic laboratories and industrial companies. We had a good experience working with the Gator Bio Inc team during the purchasing process, including the sales representative and field application scientists. The installation of the instrument was straightforward, and we got full support regarding the operation of the system, designing the experimental set-up, and analysis of the results. Moreover, the field application scientists were highly available whenever we had questions about the experimental set-up or problems with analyzing the results.

Have been working with a GatorPrime for 5 months now. It has provided a quick kinetic assay solution for many of our experimental needs. Easy to make publication ready data and uses similar consumables to make transitioning easy. Support team is great and quick to respond with data wrangling, assay design and taking in constructive criticism for future software updates.

Probably the best part about the instrument is how easy it is to use it. The software is very intuitive, barely any bugs. The instrument is extremely consistent in providing titers and kinetics data and the consumables are affordable.
