Heated by an external steam source.
Unique Space Saving Design.
Two independently controlled autoclaves in one frame.
Proven design over five years.
DIMENSIONS
- Capacity: 2 x 158 litres front loading
- Chamber Dimensions (mm): 460 x 960 (diameter x depth) x 2
- Overall Dimensions (mm): 650 wide x 1310 deep x 1900 high
- Export Packing Specifications (for shipping in mm): 740 wide x 1480 deep x 2090 high 2.6 cu metre.
- Weight: 600 Kg CYCLE PARAMETERS
- 2 x independent MP 24 Controllers:See MP24 specification ,each incorporating: -
- Timer: 0 to 119 minutes
- Temperature range: 100 to 137 deg.C.
- Maximum design pressure: 2.62 Bar (38 psig) CONTROL SYSTEM
- MP 24 control offers up to 24 pre-set programs and many cycle options and features; see MP 24 specification for specification and pictures.
- Large Pressure Gauge for exact indication of chamber pressure
- Air Removal by upward steam displacement via free steam valve and automatic steam trap. SITE REQUIREMENTS
- Direct Steam Heated.
- Electricity supply: 220/240 volt, single phase rated at 13 amps
- Other Voltages available on request.
- Drain Service: > 42mm metal drain preferred but not essential if condense collector is specified. Drain service should be no higher than 100 mm from floor level.
- External Steam Supply: DS autoclaves are manufactured so that they can be heated by en external steam supply. If direct steam heating is specified, a clean, dry, saturated steam supply reduced to 35-40 psig (2.4 to 2.76 Bar), fitted with a pressure gauge and test cock and terminated at a stopcock within 2 metres run of the rear of the autoclave will be required. Note that Rodwell direct steam autoclaves work by upward and downward steam displacement for effective air removal and unbeatable reliability. SAFETY
Each chamber features: -- Thermal lock to prevent the chambers from being opened if the chamber or load is above 80 deg.C.
- Pressure lock to prevent the chambers from being opened if the chamber is above 0.04 bar.
- If any locks fail the relevant chamber will ‘fault’ in a safe condition, ‘lock fault’ will be indicated on the appropriate MP24control panel and an alarm will sound.
- Safety devices prevent the cycle being initiated until the inner and outer door has been securely closed.
- The vessels are designed in accordance with the general requirements of BS2646 Part 1 1993 and EN61010-2-41 1996.
- All control circuits are 24 volts. CONSTRUCTION
The chambers and doors are constructed from stainless steel (BS1501-321 S31 where specified). The outer door is a G.R.P. moulding, which considerably reduces surface temperature. Sealing of chamber is effected by a silicone rubber "O" ring system. Closure is by means of 2 door bolts fitted with heat resistant handles, which are interlocked with the steam release vent. One door bolt is fitted with a captive bolt device to safely reduce any residual pressure for each chamber. Mounted on castors for ease of movement.
