It is inexpensive, and a good value if you just need general mixing. I have some samples that require a fairly specific amount of mixing. I bought this vortex mixer for these samples, but was disappointed that it is inconsistent. I have tried the touch mode and the continuous mode, and it seems that it speeds up as the motor warms up. I will get it right for the first sample, and then have to adjust for the next sample and each one after that. The goal in using this mixer is to simplify the mixing, but it was actually rather frustrating and tedious to have to keep adjusting.
