We haven't faced any issues with respect to Baseline and Drift issues when evaluating Nitrosamines at less than 1 ppb level, due to high pure grade Nitrogen delivered by generators. Service follow up for schedules preventive maintenance and prior notification from the sales team is very good in Peak, which is appreciable (observing since 7-8 years). Response to any queries is also very quick. To be frank, the downtime of generators from Peak is almost "0" days. Simple and robust technology. Coming to drawbacks, I don't foresee any issue from PEAK team, this is in the hands of laboratory analysts to maintain the generator health and keep it contamination free.

Proteomics
Nitrogen generator PEAK XE 35 is perfect for our application in the lab. which is proteomics, especially for mass spectrometry measurements. It provides constant performance and carefree operation, service is required once a year, which is a fairly reasonable interval.

Good product, poor service
Characterization of polymers
The generator works great, however the service at Peak leaves much to be desired. Our PM was 3 months behind and we had to contact them to drive it forward, even though we had a contract with them for a yearly PM. Secondly, we had a power outage which caused the unit to go down. I contacted Peak and a week later, the technician instructed me on how to fix it. It was a very easy fix, however, the instrument was down for a week. Nitrogen is what keeps labs working, and when the generator goes down, money is lost. Peak really needs to keep this in mind and make the service part of the business just as important as the instrument design. We are in the process of expanding our lab and management considered another nitrogen generator but is now ready to invest the money in tanks instead to make sure operations continue and we have continuous, reliable supply.
