GSH-Glo™ Glutathione Assay

Promega Corp.V6911, V6912

The GSH-Glo™ Glutathione Assay is a luminescence-based assay for the detection and quantification of glutathione (GSH). The assay is based on the conversion of a luciferin derivative into luciferin in the presence of glutathione, catalyzed by glutathione S-transferase (GST). The signal generated in a coupled reaction with firefly luciferase is proportional to the amount of glutathione present in the sample. Luminescence is gen…

Better than our in house kit.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Analyze GSH levels in cell culture

It has proven to be better than our assays in house. Our current methods have low fluorescence. This kit proved to pick up the slightest changes in my cells. We are continuing to optimize our protocols based upon Promega's GSH assay, and we will be doing business again.

Better than our protocol and reagents.

Application Area:

Analyze cell culture samples

It works better than our current methods. Thanks for a great product! We spent months trying to optimize our own protocol before we switched and tried this one. Doesn't disappoint.

Luminescence is generated in less than one hour. The assay generates a stable luminescence signal and is simple, fast and easily adaptable to multiwell formats such as 96- and 384-well plates. This assay can be used for detection and quantification of GSH in cultured cells or in various biological samples.
