Primary human CD14+ monocytes are isolated from peripheral blood (PB) by performing positive immunomagnetic separation on mononuclear cells (MNCs). PB was collected using one of the following anticoagulants: acid-citrate-dextrose (ACD), acid-citrate-dextrose solution A (ACDA), citrate-phosphate-dextrose (CPD), citrate-phosphate-double-dextrose (CP2D), or citrate-phosphate-dextrose-adenine (CPDA).
The anti-human CD14 antibody clone M5E2 (Catalog #60004AD) is recommended for the staining of CD14+ monocytes for flow cytometry.
Cells were obtained using Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved consent forms and protocols.
