Polymer Coatings
EIS made easy. We had a different company's potentiostat, and couldn't collect the data we needed. When we switched to the 1010E, our throughput increased dramatically. Noise was reduced and throughput was greatly increased! Software is easy to use. Electrochemical parameters are easy to generate. Great product that has made my life way easier.

Physical Electrochemisty, Pseudocapacitors and battery testing
An excellent, compact, floating potentiostat that is equally user-friendly and durable. Gamry's software suite really is the complete package. For example, Gamry's Framework uses LabView, and is compatible with Python. In terms of operation, you can queue your electrochemical measurements (called sequences) which is fantastic for streamlining workflow, or for creating SOPs. Secondly, Gamry supplies the electrochemical cells, electrodes, Faraday's cage and other accessories to foster the development of a complete electrochemical workstation. Great for new electrochemistry research or well-seasoned specialists in the field.

Corrosion
In my corrosion course, I bring an Interface 1010E potentiostat into the classroom and demonstrate three sessions of experiments: OCP, DC polarizations, and EIS. Its compact size makes it easy to install on a lab cart (including laptop, cell set-up, monitor, etc.) and the software is easy to operate (by the students too). The potentiostat allows me to showcase the difficult concept of electrochemistry of corrosion and makes my students more engaged.

Analysis of aluminum beverage can liner quality
