Sample preparation is one of the most critical steps in MS-based proteomic workflows, but the variability of the starting materials (cell/tissue type and protein levels) can be challenging. There is a need for easy-to-use and automatable workflows, along with all-in-one sample preparation solutions, to improve the results' consistency and reliability.
The iST technology works with sample preparation from many different tissues and cells. iST-BCT is optomized for samplte preparation of biological fluids (e.g. plasma and serum). An increased peptide and protein identification is provided in runs of 8 to 96 samples in a working range of 1-100 µg protein.
Unlike other sample preparation workflows the iST sample preparation allows Lysis denatutaion, reduction and alkylation in one single step and thus only needs < 3 hours to get from protein to the purified peptide.
