They are used either as a single cryostat or as an LN2 cooling shield for liquid-helium cryostats.
Cryostats are only made to order. Changes as to the dimensions, connections or volumes can usually be made at no extra charge. The LN2 cryostats listed in the table correspond to the most common dimensions and volumes. The standard LN2 cryostats come with opposing viewing strips. The cryostats can also be delivered with one viewing strip or fully silvered. Standard cryostats are available in pure glass. For a small additional charge, we can equip them with a bottom cap or with an aluminum protective cover and viewing strip.
