Moisture analysis
The Sartorius Mark III moisture analyzer works as expected. It offers a 2 stage thermal ramp and heating is fairly uniform. However, customer support is abysmal. The main use is for Loss on Drying for a well known and well characterized material with known amounts of bound and unbound water. When we asked the application engineers about method development and presented Karl Fischer data along with the Mark III data they never replied. Even after repeating the email. The Mark III also comes with a cheap thermal printer which of course the printout fades over time, making data storage and recovery tedious, because now we have to photocopy every printout.

Medical device manufacturing
We use this to check the moisture in our breathing bag solution - we manufacture breathing bags for the medical field. The analyzer is a big help in making sure that our solution has the proper moisture content. We get these calibrated once a year and, in the 3 years I have used this, we have had no problems with the analyzer.
