This is a compact electrophoretic system easy to use which could replaces your traditional electrophoresis running tank, power supply, and UV transilluminator to teach. We have purchased several, recently, they are less expensive than traditional equipment and, in the COVID19 era, the spacing made it necessary not to share the same instrument among several students . I am not able to evaluate now because we have recently purchased them and used them for laboratory exercises for degree courses in biology. Students can make and load gels, view DNA bands separating, and take pictures from their mobile device. Much less agarose is used, the Non-Hazardous buffer and gel fluoresces in blue light, eliminating the need for ethidium bromide and UV rays.
