Flip-Tops > Screw-Caps.
Tissue culture
Most of the science community uses screw-top conicals, but once I found flip-top ones, that changed my life! I would waste so much time screwing lids on and off, as well as getting them mixed up, or dropping them, or flinging them out of the biosafety cabinet while trying to put them on the tubes. The flip-top lids are attached, and can be easily managed with one hand. They are not great for high protein applications, such as FBS, or handling whole human blood (since the closure is not as secure as the screw-cap tops), but for most regular TC applications, they've made my life much easier!
