With the Ortho Vision we have reduce turn around time greater. The instrument has on screen display for maintenance with step by step instructions. It is easy to use and training want very well with there field tech. Ortho was extremely helpful with all aspects of delivery, set-up, training, and LIS connection.

The Ortho Vision Analyzer has been a great addition to our lab. It is a random access analyzer that has many different perks for the lab. We don't have to worry about our lab techs forgetting to perform maintenance steps, because the machine will not run if any maintenance is not performed. The machine will also not run if any of the quality controls are absent or outside expected range. It keeps track of any different lots of cards and will not run a new lot number until the quality controls have been performed. The quality control data is kept on board for more than two years in the data base. It is essentially self-contained as far as documentation. We took our inspector to the analyzer and pulled up anything that they needed right on the analyzer. It is able to back up that much data too. It takes a picture of each reaction and stores that for several months. This was a well thought out analyzer.

This instrument is extremely easy to use, unfortunately the maintenance is cumbersome and takes a while to perform at first. Hopefully the longer we use this instrument the easier it becomes.

This is a bi-directional blood bank instrument that we utilize to its fullest. It will run Blood Types, Antibody Screens, T&S, IgG Crossmatches, Cordbloods, Antibody Panels, Antigen Typing and Dilutions. The only thing it does not do is IS Crossmatches and Fetalscreens. Easy to use and the customer service is top-notch.
