C18 materials are widely used outside of QuEChERS for veterinary drug analysis by LC/MS. Strong anion exchange material (SAX) is the standard for extracting very polar pesticides using the QuPPe method, suitable for compounds like glyphosate and AMPA. Weak anion exchange material (WAX) is ideal for analyzing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
