The fact that it able to analyze as meaning samples as possible and at the same time different tests really does make it an equipment worth treasuring. As a Scientist, I can really recommend the use of the panther. It's effectiveness really does offer proper result turn around . Indeed it's a machine that offers best value for your money.

Vital weapon in our COVID battle!
COVID Testing
This is a fantastic piece of machinery that we use very heavily for COVID testing. Its relatively minimal hands-on prep means we can process hundreds of specimens a day which means we have been able to keep our turnaround time to less than a day for all of our inpatient samples and a day for everyone else. The reagents and consumables are easy to load even when you are bleary eyed at 3am! The only thing that annoys me is that you cannot empty the on board waste whilst specimens are running which means you do have to stop processing with this machine until every specimen onboard has finished. This obviously impacts on work flow, so if this could be amended, it would be the perfect machine.

The Panther was made to be user-friendly, and it is just that. It has a simple sleek design and software, most of the components that have to be prepared and loaded onto the instrument are color-coded, and preparation time is very minimal for the turn-around time on the amount of quality results that you can achieve. The after sales care is amazing! Preventative maintenance by engineers, quality assurance by regional representatives, and check-ins with customer service representatives to make sure that you are reaching your optimal potential with this not-so-cheap equipment. Speaking of price, it is pretty expensive, but that is to be expected with technology like this. It is well worth the purchase and the money spent will be earned back quickly, even in smaller facilities. This is an example of the amazing forward movement in automation in the laboratory.
