Mannitol, a sugar alcohol that predominantly occurs in three crystalline forms (alpha, beta and delta polymorph), is especially suitable as an excipient for advanced, highly active APIs thanks to its non-hygroscopicity and low content of reducing sugars. However, standard mannitol (in beta quality) often lacks sufficient binding and compaction properties.
Parteck® Delta M is the only commercially available mannitol excipient in a delta-polymorph crystals – combining both the inertness of mannitol and excellent binding properties. Its unique particle features enable formulators to easily develop challenging formulations by wet granulation.
