Fast Cycling Real-time PCR
We utilize QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR instruments for routine real-time PCR analysis. It is a very intuitive and easy to use instrument, and the cycling times coupled with a fast master mix are outstanding, cutting run times more than in half compared to standard master mixes. It has less maintenance requirements than previous real-time PCR instruments as well, and multiple connection options. Overall has been reliable and efficient.

Real-time PCR
QuantStudio 5 offers a fast and sensitive real-time PCR measurement. It is quite easy to use, however, it is factory-calibrated for mainly ThermoFisher dyes, so one might need to calibrate their own dyes to have accurate measurements. Customer service is very helpful with this though, and you can find good step-by-step instructions in the user manual for custom dye calibration. Once correct dyes are calibrated, results are very reliable and reproducible.
