The RapidPick is Hudson’s stand-alone and compact colony picker and re-arrayer. This system comes in two variants, namely a single-pin version for up to 250 colonies/hour and a 20 pin version that can pick up to 2400 colonies/hour. Both systems are extremely accurate with inoculation rates of over 99%, achieved through continuous picking as opposed to batch picking, guaranteeing higher survival rates.
Designed to pick from petri dishes, Nunc™ Omnitray ™ or any SBS plates, including: 1, 6, 8, 24, 48 and 96-well plates. They will inoculate SBS 1, 24, 96, 384, 1536 deep well and standard height microplates. Dual destination plate nests are standard. The small footprint allows these units to be placed in an anaerobic chamber or biosafety cabinet.
Hudson’s RapidPick systems are fully compatible with our PlateCrane EX robotic arm and SoftLinx™ scheduling software for workflow automation. An automated and complete molecular biology workflow with Hudson and third party instrumentation, such as incubators and media dispensers, is available through plug-ins available with our SoftLinx scheduling software.
