Detrimental (illegal) marketing practice
Interference Study
A very detrimental (and perhaps illegal) practice. The product is listed as "Only 1 left in stock (more on the way)". When the order is called/placed, the vendor states that the product is back-ordered and thus unavailable. When confronted with a live screenshot of the above status quote, they apologized. This is a repeat situation with Millipore Sigma. I am not sure they are trying to portray certain products as hard-to-get to trigger sales or what.
