Choose the DS-1000 camera if you need to regularly take color images for documentation. This camera can be attached to a computer or it can operate in a stand-alone mode with only a screen, or you can connect it to a powerful Imaging Tablet that runs the Nikon’s NIS-Elements Light software.
One step up, for the more advanced applications, Nikon offers the DS-Fi3. This camera has a higher resolution color sensor and is seamlessly integrated into the Nikon’s full NIS-Elements package. You can also get the DS-Fi3 in a convenient package with a touch-screen tablet running the NIS-Elements Light software.
For the users who need the best quality in a Color Camera on a microscope, Nikon provides the DS-Ri2. The sensor is developed for advanced Full Frame Sensors found in the Nikon Imaging solutions. As a result, you can use the camera for digital documentation as well as for imaging large samples in brightfield or fluorescence mode. The DS-Ri2 camera is ideal in combination with the exceptionally wide Field of View of 25 mm achieved on Nikon’s microscopes, allowing you to image more of your sample in less time.
