The Selerity Series 4000 SFC was designed specifically for separations performed on microbore packed or capillary columns, in which a precision and pulse-free delivery of the mobile phase is critical. All systems are equipped with a flame ionization detector, optional specialty detectors, a low volume rotary injection valve, and a 10 mL high-pressure syringe pump. The Selerity Model 4000 SFC utilizes a Microsoft Windows 10 PC-based Agilent OpenLAB EZChrom chromatography data system software for signal acquisition and full instrument control.
Unique Features of the Selerity Series 4000
- High pressure syringe pump
- Delivers the supercritical carbon dioxide by controlling the set pressure; therefore, a pulse-free pressure is delivered throughout the column to the detector, with no dampening needed.
- Only a small amount of the carbon dioxide mobile phase is used for each analysis, and system is helium-free, reducing the total cost per analysis.
- Long lifetime for syringe pump seals and check valves, in comparison to reciprocating pump technologies.
Column technology
- 1mm ID Packed columns are optimized for SFC methods
- 50 μm capillary columns with a variety of phases are utilized
- Each column is tested under SFC conditions
Injection techniques
- Timed Split direct injections to minimize dead volume
- Split/Splitless injection available for enhanced peak shape
Temperature controlled pressure transducer
- Up to 10X improvement in retention time reproducibility
- Improvement in operating pressure accuracy
