Sample vortexing
The Vortex Genius 3 is a solid vortexer for samples in 1.5, 2, 15 and 50 ml tubes. Good build quality. Easy to use. Adjustable speed. Two operating modes. Continuous or touch. We had issues with other vortexers like motor burnout, vortex head broken. But IKA Vortex genius is solid after 5+ years of operation. Solid build quality, It has some sort or rubber shoes which makes the vortexer stay in its place during operation.

Agrochemical development
The roller-mixer is regularly used, sometimes with quite heavy samples and is always fit-for-use. Some cheaper models only last quite a short time before breaking, but I have not seen this issue with IKA rollers.

incubation of plates at 37 degrees and bacterial liquid culture
On the KS 4000 i control incubator shaker, the screws to fix the separating bars are weak points and the cover lid obviously does not withstand disinfection with Incidin, it cracks at the connecting glue joints and along curved edges. It sometimes happened that the incubator was shaking but the temperature setting had not been switched on, because there are two buttons that have to be pressed to activate both. Should include programmable delayed start of shaking.
