Analyzes whole blood creatinine.
Easy to use analyzer for whole blood creatinine. We use ours in the CT & MRI setting before giving contrast. Fast you get your results in 6 seconds. The samples are from a tube drawn at the time of starting the IV and performed on the analyzer. It is a moderate complexity analyzer per CLIA. Little to no maintenance other than wiping it down with a SaniCloth after each patient. I would not recommend bleaching clothes, they leave a film on the screen. Uses test strips for the testing. Compared very well to the Beckman analyzers in the main Laboratory.

POC Creatinine testing for CT and MRI departments
The StatSensor is a wonderful product for the initial small investment. Results are extremely reliable, takes only a small amount of specimen, decreased turnaround time from start to test result, and not complicated to use. Hands-on training is easy and the meter walks you through testing by following on-screen instructions.

The strips used for this testing are not avaliable in a sequerted lot number. The instrument has proven challenging for end users in dosing the strips. A fudge factor has to be used so that correlation to main lab will match. Use of a fudge factor gives results on the high end.
