Easy to use with not much technical knowledge and it’s highly recommended.
Culturing of embryos

Continuous malfunction of oxygen sensor. Therefore we are not using the incubator.
CO2 incubator
The settings of this incubator are great: easy decontamination, CO2 and oxygen control. This incubator allows oxygen to be set at 2%, which is required for hypoxic conditions, or recreation of environment to maintain bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. The incubator worked great for 1 year. Surprisingly one month after warranty expired (and we didn’t purchase extended warranty), we had issues with the oxygen sensor. The failure of oxygen sensor led to loss of setting control and malfunction of incubator. We finally got a tech from Thermo. He replaced the sensor (his visit and part were very pricy) with month warranty for labor and part. Four month after tech visit, we had the same issue with sensor. After all, I can say that if you do buy anything from Thermo Fisher Scientific, do not forget extended warranty, otherwise do not buy form them anything at all. We still have this incubator but cannot use it until we fix the sensor issue.

Cell Culture
These incubators are ok for classic cell culture work but for less contamination, you should only take the full copper coated incubator. The principle of decontamination at 90°C for 25h is very good but sometimes the electronic display doesn’t work correctly so I advise you just switch it off and on again. Also do not forget to change every year the gas filters at the back of the instrument.
