They work easier than standard dialysis membranes

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Buffer exchange for proteins

The Slide-A-Lyzer are pretty easy to use and leakproof in comparison to the old style dialysis membranes. They are on the expensive side though.

It is really a good product

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

We need to achieve our final protein in the form of PBS and Tween 80, after AE column

We dialysed our samples for 48h against PBS and Tween 80. The results are quite reliable. The cassette is easy to use, by wetting the cassette with DI water first followed by our actual samples. The used cassettes can be stored in DI water again at 4 degrees Celsius. I will recommend to others.

Slide-A-Lyzer Dialysis devices are available in a variety of different sizes to accommodate sample volumes up to 250 mL. These devices are easier to use than traditional dialysis tubing, providing both faster buffer exchange and more complete sample recovery. Liquid samples are easily added to the devices with a pipette.

Features:

  • Easy to use—no knots or clamps are needed; just inject sample into cassette and begin dialysis
  • Fast dialysis—high surface-area to volume ratio that maximizes diffusion rate compared to cylindrical dialysis tubing
  • High recovery—design maximizes recovery of entire sample volume
  • Numerous options—cassettes, flasks, and mini devices handle a wide range of sample volumes
  • Color-coded—colored frames specifies the molecular weight cutoff of the device for some products
  • Gamma-irradiated option—gamma-irradiated cassettes are available for applications requiring conditions that minimize the risk of sample contamination
