The Twist FlexPrep™ UHT Library Preparation Kit is designed to simplify high throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS), offering an efficient alternative to traditional microarray-based technologies for applications such as population genetics and agrigenomics. By incorporating Twist's proprietary Normalization by Ligation™ (NBL) technology with enzymatic fragmentation methods, the kit provides built-in sample normalization across a wide range of DNA inputs (30 ng to 300 ng). Early sample barcoding enables the pooling of 12 separate samples into one reaction, resulting in a streamlined and efficient workflow. This NBL and sample pooling offered by FlexPrep can reduce the cost and complexity of typical NGS library preparation.

Key features:

  • Normalization by Ligation™ (NBL): Eliminates the need for upfront normalization and intermediate quantitation, accommodating sample batches with diverse DNA inputs.
  • Early Sample Pooling: Allows pooling of 96 samples into 8 tubes after the ligation reaction, minimizing upstream reaction volumes and reducing downstream consumable usage.
  • Ultra-High Capacity Multiplexing: Removes multiplexing limitations per flow cell lane with ultra-high throughput indexing, increasing capacity 12-fold with existing lab setups and supporting 96 samples per target enrichment reaction.

Applications:

  • Population Studies: Facilitates large-scale genomic analyses by streamlining sample preparation and sequencing workflows.
  • Agrigenomics: Enhances the efficiency of genomic studies in agricultural research, enabling high-throughput sequencing of diverse plant and animal samples.
  • Other Ultra-High Throughput Applications: Suitable for any research requiring the processing of large sample volumes with reduced complexity and cost.
