Excellent, handy way to dispense to 384-well plates while on a tight budget
Liquid dispensing
We purchased our ASSIST 3 years ago for dispensing into 384-well plates in a column-wise fashion using a Viaflow 16-channel pipette connected to the device. This setup is very easy to use as it runs through the pipette's interface. Dead volumes were an issue but the newer SureFlow reservoirs from Integra have resolved this.

Automate your multichannel pipettes!
Multichannel pipettes are invaluable when working with multiwell plates. However, prolonged and repetitive pipetting sessions bear the risk of strain and fatigue, often resulting in repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and less reproducible results.
ASSIST together with INTEGRA’s VIAFLO electronic pipettes form the perfect symbiosis to prevent users from RSI and to increase the reproducibility of prolonged pipetting protocols such as serial dilutions, plate filling and reagent addition significantly.
By mounting a VIAFLO electronic pipette on the ASSIST, the pipette’s protocols can be carried out fully automatically.
ASSIST Features:
- Touch wheel interface - A full color screen and a proven touch wheel interface offer quick and comprehensible menu navigation. Simply by moving a finger over the touch wheel, menus and settings can be accessed.
- Smart pipette adapter - Any VIAFLO multichannel pipette can be mounted to the smart pipette adapter. Pipettes are available as 8-, 12-, and 16-channel models, covering a volume range of 0.5 -1250 µl.
- Plate compatibility - Use 6-well to 384-well plates in either landscape or portrait orientation.
Choice of reservoirs - Accommodates reagent reservoirs of three different volumes: 10 ml, 25 ml and 100 ml. - Compact size - The instrument’s footprint is small and it is light weight. This makes it easy to relocate it anytime and use it in a laminar flow cabinet.
Bluetooth communication - The pipette and ASSIST are connected via Bluetooth, supporting convenient wireless connectivity.
