Functional groups, such as octyl (C8) and octadecyl (C18), can be bonded to the silica surface to provide non polar interactions. Each of these sorbents exhibits unique properties of retention and selectivity for a particular analyte. The choice of which sorbent is best for a particular method will be influenced by the percent recovery of analyte from the sample matrix and the cleanliness of the resulting chromatography.

SDB-XC is a poly(styrenedivinylbenzene) copolymer used as a reversed phase sorbent for solid phase extraction. SDB-XC is not bonded to silica but is a 100% copolymeric particle that is spherical, porous and cross-linked. It does not exhibit the secondary cationic (silanol) interactions and pH limitations common to bonded silica sorbents, so it offers more predictable and reproducible reversed phase interaction.
The Empore™ High Performance Extraction Disk Plate differs in design from plates offered by other manufacturers and requires a specific vacuum manifold. Manifolds supplied by different plate manufacturers are specific to the design of their plates and cannot generally be used with plates from other manufacturers. In some cases, the use of spacers to raise/lower the height of a collection device inside the manifold may overco…
Replacement gaskets are available with the vacuum manifold assembly. The gasket can become worn over time and the seal between the plate and the manifold will be affected. This may result in poor vacuum pressure and negatively effect flow rates. The gasket should be checked regularly and replaced when it becomes worn.
Empore Filter Aid 400 has been shown to improve flow rates and recoveries for separation and filtration of water samples containing suspended solids. When placed on top of the Empore™ Extraction Disk at a depth of about 1 cm, Empore™ Filter Aid 400 acts as depth filter to inhibit the migration of suspended solids to the surface of the disk. This reduces extraction time and improves rates and recovery of analytes.
The CycloGraph system is a centrifugally accelerated device for performing preparative thin layer radial separations. The separations occur quickly (within 20 minutes) with no need for scraping separated bands as with traditional Thin Layer Chromatography. Principle of Operation The compound to be separated is applied as a solution inside the adsorbent ring of the pre-cast Rotor (Analtechs prepared consumable for this device)…
Silica Gel G & GF UNIPLATES are the most widely used silica gel TLC plates. No organic substances are added to these products, thus making them compatible with sulphuric acid charring visualization. These plates are commonly scraped from the glass backing to isolate separated components for other analytical procedures.

Analtech Reversed Phase Separation (RPS) UNIPLATES offers several advantages over the bonded RP18 type TLC plates. RBS UNIPLATES are a hydrocarbon impregnated silica gel. The hydrocarbon is adsorbed onto the silica gel surface and is not chemically anchored to the particle. The main advantages of the hydrocarbon impregnated Reversed Phase plate are compatibility with aqueous solutions and parallel behavior to most C18 HPLC pac…
The UNIPLATE-T Taper Plate, invented and patented by Analtech, is a unique preparative TLC plate that provides unusually high resolution for a preparative layer. It has a wedge-shaped adsorbent layer, progressing from 300 microns (bottom) to 1700 microns (top). Below the silica layer is a 700-micron-thick pre-absorbent zone provided for easier sample application and higher sample resolution.
Analtech's glass TLC developing chambers provide optimum developing conditions for a variety of TLC plate sizes and shapes. Precision ground surfaces provide tight seals between tanks and glass covers, permitting complete saturation of chambers with solvent vapour for uniform development of chromatograms.

The TLC AUTOSPOTTER is a semi-automated device used to apply samples on Thin Layer Chromatography plates. The instrument eliminates the need for manual sample application and can be used to apply up to 18 samples at a time.
Power SYBR® Green RNA-to-CT 2-Step Kit is a flexible kit that enables a two-step protocol for performing reverse transcription and cDNA quantitation by real-time PCR. The kit includes the High Capacity RNA-to-cDNA and the PowerSYBR® Green PCR Master Mix. The High Capacity RNA-to-cDNA Kit is used to first reverse transcribe RNA into cDNA and the resulting cDNA is then quantitated using the PowerSYBR® Green PCR Master Mix for…
Spark has introduced the second edition of HySphere™ C8 End-Capped cartridges. We have selected a new perfect Spherical sorbent material with a narrow particle size distribution. This will create less back pressure during operation and allows you to run higher flow rates compared to our current HySphere™ C8 (EC). The new cartridge has the same excellent characteristics such as high extraction capacity and selectivity
