This is a 500 mL PYREX® replacement kettle bottom for No. 6947 resin reaction kettles. For replacement covers, see No. 6947-500CO.
These replacement PYREX® kettle covers fit 500 mL to 1L 6947 resin reaction kettles. They have openings to accommodate three 24/40 Standard Taper joints and one 34/45 Standard Taper joint. Interchangeable Standard Taper joints allow quick assembly with condensers, stirrers and funnels. Cover flanges are finely ground for a tight seal.
This Corning® kit is similar to No. 6949E, as many of the same standard laboratory experiments can be performed with this kit. The kit’s PYREX® components all use 19/22 Standard Taper joints for standardization.
