A Batch-Mode Chelating Reagent for Seawater Analysis with Quadrupole ICP-MS

This poster describes a method for the measurement of trace elements in sea water, using a chelating polymer resin for analyte matrix elimination. The analysis of sea water using ICP-MS presents a number of problems as the high dissolved solids content of seawater can suppress signals and clog the interface sampler.
