Accurate Mass Screening Workflows for the Analysis of Novel Psychoactive Substances

In forensic toxicology testing labs, workflows are trending. Routinely, labs have been tasked with doing targeted analysis, monitoring samples for a standard list of known drug compounds and quantifying any of those targeted compounds that are found. These days with the emergence of many different novel psychoactive substances (NPS), labs are being faced with the challenge to do more surveillance screening. This workflow looks for compounds that might be present in samples without any pre-existing knowledge of what those compounds could be.
