AmaZon Speed – Accelerating Access to Proteomic Information

6 Oct 2011

Focusing on the amaZon Speed ion trap this application note shows the advantages of using this system for bottom-up proteomic studies. Improvements in precursor isolation, fragmentation efficiency, and speed of acquisition are described. The automated scan mode is shown to accelerate spectral cycles resulting in a fast sampling rate for complex protein samples. The impact of these improvements on the protein identification number is illustrated for E. coli digests.
