An Immunoturbidimetric Assay for Hyaluronic Acid

20 Aug 2014

Hyaluronic acid (HA), is widely distributed throughout the body and can be found as a free molecule in plasma and synovial fluid. The liver plays a central role in maintaining HA homeostasis, increased plasma levels of HA may serve as a sentinel for hepatic inflammation, fibrosis and cirrhosis. In this poster, the authors report the development of an immunoturbidimetric method for detecting HA in a blood sample.
