Analysis of Arsenic, Cadmium and Lead in Chinese Spice Mixtures using Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption

This application note shows that the determination of arsenic, cadmium and lead after acid solubilization of spice-mixture samples by microwave digestion can be performed by GFAAS without any interference and the same has been cross-checked by analyzing a different set of similar samples with ICP-MS analysis (using a PerkinElmer ELAN DRC-e ICP-MS).
