Analysis of Some Common Odor Producing Urine Products, Using Cation Exchange Chromatography and Conductivity Detection

This application note highlights the detection of some odorous direct products of some metabolic pathways, which may be found in urine, using ion chromatography and conductivity detection. The determination of Dimethylamine (DMA), Trimethylaminoxide (TMAO), Trimethylamine (TMA), Putrescine and Cadaverine cations is described.
