Aroclors in Human Blood Serum by Triple Quadrupole GC/MS/MS

30 Dec 2013

Triple quadrupole instruments are being increasingly integrated into traditional testing laboratories because of their affordability, increased sensitivity, and their ability to selectively detect environmental contaminants at low concentrations in the presence of complex, interfering matrices, including biological samples such as human blood serum. This application note describes a Multiple Reaction Monitoring (MRM) method for low-level detection of PCBs in human blood serum using the Shimadzu GCMS-TQ8030 triple quadrupole GC/MC/MS.
