Three-dimensional (3D) cellular models are valuable for predicting non-clinical drug safety. 3D bioprinting allows the creation of intricate tissue structures with spatial control. In this application note, Molecular Devices describes a method for automating the generation of 3D liver models using a multi-tool robotic device equipped with liquid handling capabilities. This enables the bioprinting and high-content imaging of liver cells embedded in a collagen matrix.
