Assessment of Salmonella Typhimurium Load Within Infected Nematodes

28 Jul 2015

The nematode Caenorhabditis elegans is a powerful model system for the study of host-pathogen interactions. This application note studies the innate immune response of C.elegans to Salmonella Typhimurium using the Precellys®24 for sample preparation. The resistance of the nematodes to Salmonella Typhimurium was quantified over time through viable counts after exposure of wild-type animals to S. Typhimurium L1019.
